About the Coastal Lifeguard Service

The service is organized under the Municipality of Copenhagen, Culture and Leisure Administration, SvømKBH.
We staff the following locations:

Amager Beach Park, Svanemøllen Beach and Helgoland

Season: St. Hans, June 23, to the last Sunday in August
Lifeguard staff: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Sluseholmen Harbor Bath

Season: June 1 to August 31
Lifeguard staff: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (until August 31)

The sailing harbormasters

Season: Thursday to Sunday from the first Thursday in June to the last Sunday in August.
However, all days of the week during the school summer holidays.

Special preparations

In connection with competitions and events in Copenhagen, the service occasionally contributes to ensuring safety on and around water. Examples of such events are: Ironman, KMD 4:18:4, Kulturhavn and Distortion.
