KBH Payment Card - Conditions

Use of the KBH Payment Card constitutes full acceptance of these card terms and conditions, which are presented to the customer upon delivery of the KBH Payment Card.

You can find the latest version of these card terms and conditions at www.kk.dk. Card terms and conditions may be updated at any time with appropriate notice of the change  via www.kk.dk.

Using the card

You can use the KBH Payment Card as a means of payment in the ticket machines in certain swimming pools of the Municipality of Copenhagen. The KBH Payment Card can only be used if there are sufficient funds on the Card to complete the specific transaction.

An updated overview of which of the Copenhagen Municipality's swimming pools the KBH Payment Card can be used in can be found at any time at  www.kk.dk. The overview may be changed at any time without notice. No personal information is associated with the issuance or use of the Card, which is why it cannot be linked to your swimming profile.

The KBH Payment Card can be used for payment by the holder without identification, and there is no PIN code or other similar security measures associated with the Card. It is not possible for the user to personalize the KBH Payment Card by hand. The Card must therefore be considered cash.

The person presenting the Card may use it for payment. No further identification of the person is required. Although you may have a confirmation or receipt from a deposit on the Card, the Card only has value for the actual holder of the Card.

Card type

The KBH Payment Card is a bearer plastic card with a magnetic stripe and should be stored and handled accordingly.

Balance and refueling

The KBH Payment Card can be topped up against cash payment and only by physical presence (in person or on behalf of) at the municipality's Citizen Service Center.

You can check the balance on your KBH Payment Card at all of the municipality's Citizen Service Centres. Note: The card cannot be topped up outside Citizen Service opening hours, including holidays and weekends.

Amount limit 

The maximum amount that can be deposited on the KBH Payment Card at any time is DKK 2,500. 

Validity period

The KBH Payment Card is active from the time of issue and valid for 3 years. The validity period is not extended by refilling.

After the expiry of the validity period, the KBH Payment Card cannot be renewed or used. Any remaining amount on the KBH Payment Card at the expiry of the validity period will be refunded if the Cardholder requests redemption within a period of one year after the expiry date in accordance with the section on Redemption below.

Redemption

You can redeem deposits on the Card at face value at any time in all the municipality's Citizen Service Centres. Book an appointment, show up and bring your KBH Payment Card and ID (passport or health insurance card). The amount will be automatically added to your NemKonto after a minimum of 5 working days. You can keep the Card for later refueling.

Fees

Refueling, redeeming and/or using the Card for payment (in the swimming pools) is free of charge.

Refund

Goods and/or services purchased with the KBH Payment Card are subject to the payment provider's general exchange and return policy. It is not possible to have an amount refunded directly back to the KBH Payment Card.

Problems with cards

If you experience problems with the KBH Payment Card, you must book an appointment at one of the municipality's Citizen Service Centers to get help and guidance.

Card return

If you wish to return the KBH Payment Card, you can hand it in at any of the municipality's Citizen Service Centres and have the remaining amount paid to your NemKonto in accordance with the section on Redemption above.

If the Card's balance is DKK 0,- you can hand the card over to the staff at the swimming pools where the Card can be used.

Loss and misuse of the card

Loss and misuse of the Card is your responsibility and risk. You must therefore bear any losses in this connection. Lost cards or misuse of the KBH Payment Card will not be replaced by the municipality, the Culture and Leisure Administration, Swimming Pools or Citizens' Services.

The KBH Payment Card cannot be blocked if it is lost.

KBH Payment Cards that have been obtained illegally are invalid and cannot be used for purchases, and their value cannot be refunded/redeemed.

Card suspension

The Municipality of Copenhagen reserves the right to suspend the use and/or redemption of one or more KBH Payment Cards without notice in cases where there is suspicion of fraud or other illegal activities.

Termination

The City of Copenhagen may, with 3 months' notice via the city's website, terminate the use of the KBH Payment Card, whereby the KBH Payment Card can no longer be used as a means of payment. In such a case, the remaining amount on the KBH Payment Card will be refunded if the Cardholder requests redemption in accordance with the section on Redemption above within 12 months after the Card's general validity period expires.
