When you redeem your ticket at the payment machine, a wristband will be printed. The wristband must be worn on your wrist when you are in the swimming pool.

The wristband is the staff's way of seeing that you have paid. If you do not wear it visibly, the staff has the right to expel you.

Our bracelets are environmentally and allergy-friendly, and free of phthalates. The bracelets are disposed of with residual waste and are used for district heating or electricity.

With our ticket system, you can buy your ticket online or via the payment machines in the swimming pools.

In the event of a downtime, no compensation will be given for lost swimming time, as staff can neither predict downtime nor do anything to avoid it.

Please note that a ticket is valid for 90 days from the date of purchase until your wristband is printed. You therefore have the option to use your ticket at the other swimming pools or choose to come back when there is no longer a shutdown.

Your ticket will therefore not necessarily go to waste unless the wristband is printed.

The staff may announce a closure of the swimming pool for safety, health or other reasons. In the event of a closure, all guests in the swimming pool must leave the pools and follow the staff's instructions.

It is not possible to purchase gift certificates for the Municipality of Copenhagen's swimming facilities.

A defined period of the day when you can enter the swimming pool at a reduced price.

Green time tickets must be redeemed before 3:00 PM, but you are welcome to stay and swim after 3:00 PM

Bellahøj Swimming Stadium: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

All other swimming pools: from opening hours until 3:00 PM
 

Green Time - Weekends

The first hour of opening hours is Green Time at these facilities:

Emdrup Bad, Frankrigsgade Swimming Hall, Hillerødgade Bad, Vesterbro Swimming Hall and Sundby Bad 

Please note: Bellahøj Swimming Stadium, Valby Vandkulturhus, Tingbjerg Swimming Hall and Øbro-Hallen have no Green Time on weekends.

In swimming pools with the new ticket system, it is no longer necessary to buy the ticket at the swimming pool, as you can buy it online.

Once you have purchased the ticket, you will receive a QR code in your email, which you can print out and give to your child. Alternatively, you can take a picture of the QR code, which your child can scan at the swimming pool with their smartphone.

Your child may go to the swimming pool without an adult when the child is 7 years old.

It is possible to book time in Øbro-Hallens Baby Pool .

If you want group lessons, you must contact an association/swimming club. 

The Municipality of Copenhagen does not offer water gymnastics, aquapunkt or aquamama, but we have a wide range of associations and clubs that are based in our swimming pools and do various activities in water. You can get an overview of the different activities.

A number of clubs and associations offer swimming lessons and other water-related sports in the municipality's swimming pools. Which clubs and associations use a given facility is shown in the course overview for the facility in question.

SvømKBH's swimming pools

No teaching can take place without an agreement being made with the swimming pool management.

Babies must wear both a disposable diaper and approved neoprene swimming trunks until they are 4 years old, or until they are safe to use the toilet.

Please note that the trousers should fit at the waist and thighs (and not at the groin). Use the recommended weight as a guide instead of age.

We are unable to provide information about forgotten cases either over the phone or via our contact form.

We do not offer swimming lessons or water gymnastics for pregnant women, but we have a wide range of associations and clubs that are based in our swimming pools and do various activities in water. You can get a complete overview of the different activities here:

Association activities

There is an infrared sauna in Valby Vandkulturhus, Frankrigsgade Swimming Pool, Emdrup Bad and Øbro-Hallens Kurbad.

Job

Associations and evening schools have the opportunity to be allocated time in the swimming pools. This is done via Lokaleudlån, where the Municipality of Copenhagen then allocates space in the swimming pools according to current rules and guidelines.

It is not possible to rent the swimming pools for private events.

• Guests aged 12 and over can snorkel
• Snorkeling can be used in all swimming pools during the swimming pool's public opening hour
• Snorkeling must be used in a safe manner
• It is always the lifeguard who assesses whether snorkelling is being used in a safe manner

You can have a swimming certificate signed by a lifeguard if the conditions in the swimming pool allow it and the lifeguard has time. Safety always comes first and the control of lanes must not be at the expense of lifeguard supervision.

If you need to have a swimming certificate signed, you must print it yourself and bring it with you.

A hot water pool is a pool that is 34 degrees Celsius or higher. We have a hot water pool in Øbro-Hallen and Valby Vandkulturhus respectively.

Valby Water Culture Center

In Valby Vandkulturhus there is a warm water pool. It is 34 degrees and 1.20 m deep. The pool is located in connection with the wellness area on the 1st floor. An additional ticket is required to use the pool. Everyone is welcome in the pool. 

We encourage users to be considerate of each other and limit noise levels. Jumping, playing catch, toys, etc. are not allowed - please refer to the Fun Pool and the Splash Pool. 

Babies are welcome with proper swimwear (swim diaper and neoprene swim trunks that fit snugly around the thighs and stomach). An additional ticket for the hot tub includes an extra wristband in your own color.

Pensioners with annual passes and disabled people with a companion have free access to the hot water pool. This group does not wear a separate hot water wristband.

There is a limit to how many people can be in the pool per hour. During busy periods, it is possible that there will be a queue to get into the pool. 

Øbro Hall

In Øbro-Hallen there is a hot water pool in the basement, which is part of Øbro Kurbad. To access the hot water pool, you must therefore purchase access to the spa.

Please note that the hot tub's opening hours are not the same as the spa's.

On busy days, there may be calls from pools and there may be queues at the most popular pools.

At most of our facilities there is a link to a report on access conditions and accessibility from God Adgang.

At some of our facilities we have lifts for level changes.
