First aid and defibrillation - how to do it
A defibrillator is a device that can make a heart start pumping again by delivering an electric shock. They are easy to use and you can't do anything wrong. We have defibrillators at all our facilities.
How to perform first aid on an unconscious person:
- Examine consciousness.
- Cry for help.
- Create a clear airway.
- Check breathing (look, feel and listen for a maximum of 10 seconds).
If there is no normal breathing, you should:
- Call 1-1-2.
- Turn on the defibrillator and follow the instructions.
See how to use a defibrillator here:
Defibrillators can come in many different designs, but the different models work in much the same way. At our swimming facility we use Zoll Pro and Zoll Plus.
Environmental certification
Our swimming pools are environmentally certified, and we are therefore committed to using as few chemicals as possible. Chlorine is used to kill bacteria and prevent infection in swimming pools, but is harmful to people and the environment. Therefore, we need your help to use as little as possible.
